School Council
At Parklands, the children in years 1 to 6 nominate 2 children from each class to be on our school council.
The school council is a chance for the children at Parklands to share their thoughts about the school and promote positive change. The children will listen to the views of their class and report back to the school council and a representative from the leadership team.
The KS2 children act as the Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.
Chairperson - The Chairperson leads the meeting and listens to the views of the school council.
Secretary- The Secretary takes minutes of the meeting and adds these to the display in the school hall.
Treasurer - The treasurer is responsible for counting the money collected during any fundraising events and then supports the Headteacher to spend the money on any chosen projects.
